If you are more adventurous and inquisitive, in the Western Algarve you will be surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and nature. This is one of the least spoiled and less touristic parts of the Algarve, especially around the Costa Vicentina Natural Park. It consists of rugged cliffs caused by centuries of erosion, and numerous small, often empty, incredibly beautiful beaches, and a National Park, which invites you to go hiking, surfing, or bird watching.
It would be a pleasure to design an itinerary that takes you to the most southwestern point in Europe - Cape St. Vincent, near Sagres.
Not to be missed a visit to Lagos town - the birthplace of the discoveries - with more than 2000 years of history. Once you are here, visit the most important slave market in Europe in the 15th century.
Don't Miss:
- Visit the lighthouse in Sagres;
- Enjoy a wonderful and relaxing walk along one of the trails or bird watching;
- Take a boat trip and admire the rocks and caves carved by the wind and tides over thousands of years;
- Enjoy the local gastronomy, where the fish still has the true taste of the sea.
