MOROCCO | SOUTH OF MOROCCO
A Morocco trip feels like a journey to a different world, with a compelling mix of cultures, where cosmopolitan cities blend with ancient traditions, untouched landscapes, imperial cities, distinctive architecture, and centuries-old customs. It’s hard to believe that Europe is only a few hours away. With expert guides, you will see a rich culture, and famously welcoming locals.
You will see major sights and hidden alleyway gems, with their vibrant colors, and the amazing smells of the spice markets.

The possibilities are endless, and we can only name a few:
  • Marrakech: Myriad souks lead away from the Djemaa el-Fna that can keep a visitor happily engaged for hours. But it is the square itself, with its acrobats, storytellers, snake charmers, boxing matches, and food stalls, that provides the main draw for the population of this great city, as well as a great place for people-watching. Do you know how the colorful leather is made and, what it is made of? A great way to get the answer is to visit a tannery.
  • Atlas Mountains: Their environment is harsh - baking hot in summer, snow-covered in winter - but the surprisingly fertile valleys allow the Berber tribes to cultivate a large variety of crops. The High Atlas, Middle Atlas, and the Anti Atlas each have their own characteristics, but they are all perfect for walking or trekking.
  • Dades Valley: The route of a thousand kasbahs to the Dades Valley, where green oases and mudbrick homes are strewn across the dusty red valley.
  • Berber Villages: The remote village of Aroumd offers stunning views across the High Atlas Mountains and a unique opportunity to experience traditional Berber (Amazigh) culture. Spend the night in a family-run mountain gite were surrounded by the smell of woodstoves and bread, you will enjoy traditional hospitality and food.
  • Ait Benhaddou: It was once an important stop for caravans passing through as they carried salt across the Sahara, returning with gold, ivory, and slaves. The town has a long list of film and TV credits, including Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones, and Gladiator, and is now a World Heritage site.
  • Ourika Valley: Discover and explore the small villages, cafes, grocery shops, and small hotels clinging to the sides of the mountains, terraced agriculture, and clear freshwater from the Ourika river.
  • Cascade d’Ouzoud: These waterfalls (110m high) are located in the Grand Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt. It is one of the most visited sites in the region. In the vicinity, green valleys, mills, orchards.
  • Ouarzazate: It was built in 1928 by the French protectorate and used as a military garrison and administrative center of the area. Best known for its film studios in which world-famous films were made, and for the Kasbah Taourirt (a residential castle made of rammed earth, which was built in the early 20th century).
