Programa Icon CÔTE D'AZUR - "THE FRENCH RIVIERA"
SOUTH OF FRANCE | PROVENCE - ALPS - CÔTE D’AZUR
Take a drive down to the glamorous coastline of the Côte d’ Azur and visit, Cannes, Nice, Éze, Grasse or Monaco. Experience the traditional outdoor Provençal markets, held at the town's spacious squares, or just take the time to linger in a coffee terrace, while observing the Provençal way of live.

For the art lovers, visit the artistic highlights of the French Riviera, following the lives and work of Matisse and Chagall, in Nice, or following Picasso from the dreamy coves of Cap d’Antibes to the flowery hill village of St Paul de Vence considered a mecca to Marc Chagall, Picasso and Matisse.

NICE, open to the sea, with its port and beaches along the Promenade des Anglais, is also home to numerous museums, picturesque neighbourhoods and lively streets with shops and restaurants.

Popularized by its famous Film Festival, CANNES is the other most famous city of Alpes-Maritimes. From the Palais des Festivals to the Promenade de la Croisette, travellers come to find a certain idea of chic and glamour.

MENTON,
with its opulent houses and colored facades, its beaches and gardens, its major cultural events, the city attracts many holidaymakers.

Set back from the sea, the town of GRASSE is a real open-air garden. Its flowers and roses have attracted the greatest perfumers, who have made the city the capital of perfumery, with a unique museum.

The beautiful village of EZE dates back to the middle ages and clings impressively to the mountainside above the Mediterranean Sea. Panoramic views, ancient façades, and unbelievable attention to detail are some of the most memorable features of this lovely village.

Built on its rocky outcrop and surrounded by its ramparts, SAINT PAUL DE VENCE is certainly one of the most beautiful villages in Provence. The beauty of the surrounding area has inspired numerous famous artists, painters, writers, and poets, some of whom took up residence in the village. Lose yourself in the maze of charming streets, the floral exuberance of the gardens, the little shady squares, ancient fountains, gateways, and porches, or wonderful windows and you'll see why St Paul is a favourite subject for photographers.

Gorgeous and glittering MONACO is a tiny royal principality on the French Riviera. Less than two square kilometers in size, it is perhaps the most glamorous little stretch of land on the planet, and its grandiosity speaks for itself, and you can’t miss:
  • The Musée Océanographique: Built on the side of the cliff, rises 85 m above the sea, where you can see over 6,000 specimens in the pools of this temple of the sea.
  • "Le Rocher" ("The Rock"): A promontory jutting out into the Mediterranean which contains historic Monaco. Full of charming narrow streets and impressive landmarks, Monaco-Ville dates back to the 13th century when the principality was founded.
  • Monte-Carlo: It's the most glamorous district, found in a spectacularly picturesque setting north of Port Hercule and overlooking the bay.
  • Palais du Prince: It is home to the oldest monarchy in the world. The Palais du Prince is a private residence but is open to the public at certain times of the year. A tradition of the Sovereign House, the Changing of the Guards takes place every day at 11H55 am in front of the palace.
  • Cathédrale de Monaco: The cathedral is the burial place of the Princes of Monaco and houses tombs of past sovereigns Prince Rainier and Princess Grace.
  • Les Jardins Saint-Martin: The Saint-Martin Gardens extend along the coast around Le Rocher peninsula with its steep cliff facing the sea. These dramatic gardens offer a rich display of exotic species and vibrant flowers that flourish under the Mediterranean sunshine.
  • Princess Grace Rose Garden: This exquisite garden was created by Prince Rainier III as a tribute to his wife Princess Grace. The garden flourishes with 6,000 rose bushes in 315 varieties.
